Belpile provided a design and construct package on the basement retention piling and structure foundation piles for a 15 storey hotel development. The project required the use of multiple rigs, working “close to wall” adjacent heritage buildings, bailing of piles to over 5m depth to minimise pile cut back works, separation and removal of contaminated spoil. Belpile installed over 120 x 600mm diameter piles to a maximum depth of 18m. We were also involved in development of the basement temporary propping scheme and ongoing deflection monitoring works. The piling works were completed ahead of schedule, despite a number of design changes being implemented during the early stage of construction.
